Harmonizing Vibrations

All matter in our known universe vibrates at a particular frequency and because vibration can also be described as sound we could say that, intrinsically, everything is sound. Human beings have a very intricate ability to create. Our thoughts and feelings vibrate into our creative reality, and from this root the tree of our lives grow. We also have a very strong instinct to feel good, to seek pleasing vibrations. On a biological level, when we feel good, we are likely to be in good health and in a safe and nurturing environment. With the advent of technologies and processed foods, that correlation is no longer applicable to every situation. This is why Devi Manet and Sat Sukh have dedicated their lives to assisting, teaching and guiding others into healthier vibrations using healing plants from our Mother Earth – such as cacao and medicinal herbs and sound healing tools – such as gongs, singing bowls, flutes and the human voice.

Devi will lead us through a cacao & kundalini journey. Serving her Raw Bliss cacao which is made using ancient stone grinding methods to open the micro particles of the cacao for optimum absorption. The Mayan word for cacao translates as “heart blood” highlighting their knowing of cacao opening up the physical and spiritual heart. Theobromine is the active stimulant in cacao, acting as a cardiovascular dilator, increasing blood flow to the heart region. For best results, abstaining or lowering caffeine intake before the event would be of benefit. Ayurvedic herbs to enhance and balance will be added to the cacao elixir including ashwagandha, shilajit, and cayenne. Cacao is an activator so it will enliven and open our hearts to begin the ceremony.

As the cacao enters our physical bodies and begins to align our spirits, we will chant together to the Five Directions: East, South, West, North and Center. Chanting to each direction will bring us the wisdom of each direction, help us release the thinking mind and relax into the infinite potential of no-mind. The vibration of our voices together will attune our bodies, minds, and spirits with that of our home, the Earth and all her creatures, plants and particles. As we remember ourselves collectively and individually to shuniya – the zero point or no-mind – we come to the place of ultimate healing.

Sat Sukh will then guide a ceremonial journey into the curative, balancing, and uplifting world of medicinal herbs. The herbs will be prepared as water infusions, elixirs, and topical oil infusions for a health supporting sensory experience of relaxation, stimulation, and balancing. Meeting these generous plants in ritual uplifts both the plant and the one receiving its benefits. Together we will praise them and nourish our bodies. As the herbs rejoice within us and begin the dance of healing balance, Devi and Sat Sukh will take you on an inner and outer exploration of restorative sound. The vibrations of singing bowls, wood and bamboo flutes, mandolin, guitar, voice and gongs will coax the nervous system into deep release.

About the Facilitators:

Devi Manet is on a mission to share the healing modalities that have worked for her through direct experience. What began as a simple interest in bettering the quality of her life, led to in depth studies in plant based living food nutrition and detox, mystical world religions and practices, and expression through healing arts such as yoga and sound healing. Covering the whole body, mind, and spirit spectrum with great emphasis on preparing the body for the soul's evolution process has been the driving force in her work. Devi is a Kundalini Yoga instructor, sound healer, has a BA in eastern religious studies, and is a raw food chef and chocolatier.

Sat Sukh came into the world with a song in her heart. Her life is dedicated to the intricately related studies of sound, music, art, and yoga. Through these studies she continually reaches deep self-knowledge, heartfelt compassion for humanity, and grateful awe for the power of vibration. Sat Sukh spent most of her formative years in classic vocal techniques training and performance, studying with university professors of Vocal Music. Iyengar Yoga found her at 16, and she has devoted nearly 20 years of her life to daily practice and study of yogic arts. She is in a constant state of experiential understanding of the trifecta that is the sound current: Sphota – transcendental sound, Nāda – supersonic sound, and Dhvani – sound that is heard by the human ear. Sat Sukh shares mantra and sacred song with unbridled joy and appreciation. Her performances are a devotional practice in action. Her melodies and voice carry the sound current to invoke and awaken the divine qualities latent within the heart of humanity.

Bliss Out

Bliss Out: easy meditation tools for a peaceful mind

Learn to bliss out without checking out. The world moves faster, and collectively we do too. Our presence is needed, not only by those depending on us in family, job, and social environments, but most of all by our own selves. Our presence is most effective when the mind and heart are clear, when the emotions are balanced, and when the call of the soul is fully met.

In this experiential workshop with Emily Sat Sukh, we will integrate a few easy tools to receive daily demands of our time and attention with greater ease. Using pranayama, mantra, and silence, we will discover the peace that is a deep and endless, yet completely accessible wellspring within our being.

So what are these things?

+ Pranayama is a tool to direct the breath, which in turn directly affects the conscious and subconscious minds, the nervous system, and the endocrine system (hormones).

+ Mantra is a tool to direct the mind into a focused point. When mantra is spoken, chanted, or sung with the voice, it doubles as a pranayama. When we speak, sing or chant, the breath must be used to support vocalization, and since focused breathing calms the body-mind, vocalized mantra effects tangible change in the psyche.

+ Silence is often mistaken for meaning the total absence of sound, when it is actually much closer and much more attainable than external quietude. Together we will venture into the most silent place within our own being.

All of these tools will help us ease into a more graceful, peaceful and truly happy way of being in our world. As we surrender old habit patterns of mind and ego to our own breath, voice, and silence, we invite everyone present in our worlds to join us simply with our calm presence. In short, life becomes what it actually is: peaceful.

Meeting the True Voice - Nashville

Communication is paramount to daily living. How we speak to ourselves, our family, friends and co-workers can create stress or ease, trauma or health, blockages or free-flowing abundance. So the question may arise: How do I communicate with clarity, and speak with confident authority from my true voice? At the core of this question is another question. When we ask to know our own voice we are actually asking to know true selves.

We are asking: Who Am I?

And when we fully surrender to this inquiry, we can understand who we truly are and speak with our True Voice – not only in a conceptualized intellectual way, but in a fully experienced, known and embodied way.

Communication becomes difficult and confusing because as we live and experience, the shape of the mind changes by each fraction of each second. And as the mind changes, the voice with which we speak changes, too. So to speak with the True Voice, we must find that which is beyond the ever-changing mind, closer than any concept of personality, and present through all experiencing.

Together we'll meet this person that we have each created- the person that life and living has created - and allow the layers of conditioning to dissolve. In the open, expansive space that remains, we may
speak and sing from the True Voice.

As the simple self- inquiry naturally and effortlessly releases trauma, karma and illusion, we will use the ancient art of Kundalini Yoga to understand and feel; we'll breathe and move and chant to gain greater command of the bodily energy channels and energy centers. We will see how they work through us and help us speak, sing and express, not with the false authority of mind or ego, but with the real and unchanging, subtle and all-pervading Source of all that is.

Piercing the Veil

Piercing the Veil

Kundalini Yoga workshop with Sat Sukh & Saati Satmitar:

Reveal the truth which sits waiting patiently behind the veils of illusion. Begin to answer the call of your soul. Or pick up the conversation where you left off....

SatMitar will lead a clearing, centering, piercing Kundalini Yoga kriya and meditation, while Sat Sukh channels the Naad using the musical tools of her voice, harmonium, mandolin, Tibetan singing bowls, bamboo flute and wood flute. As you place your attention on your deepest inner intentions, and release the subconscious thought forms that no longer have any power over the living of your life, be bathed in flowering, living, breathing sound.

Naad and Nadi share a root word: Nad which means energy. The Nadi’s are energy channels that flow in, through and around the physical body. Naad – or Nada – is the supersonic or unstruck sound. Although our dense physical senses cannot see this type of sound energy, we can most certainly feel it through clairaudience and through the ‘opening’ feeling of the chakras. These energy centers are actually neither open nor closed . . . They are. As we are: Space.

Allow the Naad and the complete science of Kundanlini Yoga to help you pierce the veils of this personal and collective mirage, and remember your true self.

Enjoy beautiful live music, deep healing yoga and meditation and gong.

Seeds of Love

Seeds of Love - A Bija Mantra Experience
There is a light that lives and breathes within our being. We can speak directly to, with, and from this original origin of the primal light - the sound current - through singing, chanting and vibrating mantra. According to all ancient knowledge from all ancient cultures, sound is the origin of everything that is manifest.

Sound is carried on the all-pervading life force: Prana. And so, we’ll begin our exploration with the densest form of Prana: Breath. Together we’ll learn to open the chest and lungs, empower the navel and pelvic floor to merge it with the spinning energies of the heart and throat chakras. We will explore ancient, yet ageless techniques to cultivate a Bija mantra practice that delivers us – carried in the current of prana – to the true original light of the soul.
